The stage is yours!

The stage is yours!

9 months already… It’s unbelievable, it really does not feel like we have been here for such a long time. It feels so much like home but soon we have to leave again, even though I would like to stay for longer.. But that is enough sadness for now. Nevertheless we’ll still have 3 months and we are going to make the best out of it. Therefore we would like to plan a goodbye party for us and our students, because they often complained that in the last years they felt very sad when the former volunteers left without the chance of a proper goodbye. No chance to talk for the last time, to thank each other for the wonderful time together and maybe to exchange numbers.

We would really like to make it different this time! But our intention is not to make everybody feel sad about our farewell but to have fun together and share joy, that is why we decided that we want to host a talent show in which we would love to see the talents of our students beside the YouthMagazine Workshop: one can dance very well and likes spending his free time creating choreographies with friends, another one can sing like a professional and the last one wants to put his Poetry-Slam skills to test. All of these talents are not promoted by the school and there are not many chances to show an audience what makes you extraordinary. It is our wish to give our students the stage to perform whatever they are good in and unveil all their secret passions. Furthermore we want this event to be a possibility for the students to get to know each other better because they not often get the chance to socialize with other young people from different schools. We want them to have fun together and maybe even find new friends!

Unfortunately, it is very difficult for AIM. to provide the money for the talent show, additionally to the existing expenses of the organization. That’s the reason we decided to finance this event (at least partly) with your donations. We and our students are very thank for every contribution and would be happy about your help!
