AIM @ CAPE COAST TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY

The planning of the solar system was taken over by Paul Eichel and Andreas Sauerborn who were both members of Engineers Without Borders (Ingog). They volunteered to work out the idea of a solar system during a trip to Komenda. Most of the financing was taken over by Energiewerke Schönau (EWS), also known as “energy rebels” for energy efficiency and climate protection, against nuclear power and carbon dioxide. It is a set up cooperatively and its societies combine economy with civic engagement. A further part of the financing carries the engineering company (saolres bauen) for building physics and the planning of the technical equipment nationwide specialized in the efficient use of energy and the use of all regenerative energy sources. After which AIM Germany and Aim Ghana brought this educational and technical idea to run a workshop, (SOLAR PROJECT) to equip the youth with vocational and technical skills which will aid them in job searching and also bring them at par. This solar project has helped and still helping a lot of people of Komenda and beyond. Last week AIM Solar Project was at Cape Coast Technical University for a workshop with some students from the Cape Coast Technical University. These students were taking through *the introduction of solar automatic drip irrigation systems. *the application of solar automatic drip irrigation systems. *the main components of the solar automatic drip irrigation system. *sizing and designing a water solar pumping system. * installation. and below are the some pictures. check it out!
